This weekend, LA's first citywide public art show will open, and it all centers on the theme of water. Installations will spring up across the city, at places like the LA River, Echo Park Lake, and Hansen Dam, and be up for the next month.
A "three-day music festival to rival Coachella," proposed for the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area in Lake Balboa, could bring in up to 65,000 attendees a day, but conservation groups and birders are hoping to stop the festival before it starts.
