The Historic Core’s Continental Building was converted to lofts in the early 2000s. New plans call for 140 guest rooms and a rooftop bar with outdoor dining.
The 1909 home has hardwood floors and plenty of indoor-outdoor access. It’s also reportedly the former residence of blacklisted screenwriter John Howard Lawson.
Designed by super-organic architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg in 1988, the concrete, steel, glass, and copper house is placed perfectly among big boulders.
