Don’t fall into the Buckhead trap like most recent grads do. Midtown is just as accessible for jobs and isn’t Diet Atlanta.

Living in midtown, you see it all the time. I don’t know how they do it, but it happens.

Why is this the knee-jerk response to anyone staying demolition? Historic buildings hold value for more people than just their direct stakeholders, and losing them is an externality that we don’t have a system in place to correct. Atlanta’s historic urban fabric (or what’s left of it) needs all the help it can get.

I’m not really understanding the allure of building new fake "historic" buildings when there’s plenty of authentic structures out there staring down the bulldozer that’ve already achieved the aging the replicas struggle to emulate.

The "loft" in the middle of the stairs / hallway is a nice touch.

Speed bumps would be a huge help on all the streets connecting North and Ponce, as well. Most are residential streets that get used as high-speed cut-throughs 24/7.
