Don’t worry! It may be a long time before anything of architectural interest gets built on a U.S. college campus. Everyone seems to aspire to the greatness of a Walmart these days. Art Center College of Design now plans to add to the Ellwood Building campus with a single-story factory building. Woo hoo.

ellwood designed "the dream". decidedly of the zeitgeist with elevations in the vogue of his hero. but odd how mies’s travertine and carrara were nearly always missing. nevertheless a very cool pad many would be more than pleased to ruminate in…..
