Los Feliz doesn’t mean "Happy Farm" (which would be something like "Granja Felíz" in Spanish). The reason the singular "Feliz" (which was also variously spelled "Felis" and "Felix") follows the plural "Los" instead of "Felices" is because it is not a reference to happiness but merely to the Feliz family, of which there were several members. It would make more sense to translate "Rancho Los Feliz" to "the Feliz Family Ranch" or, less elegantly, "The Feliz’s Ranch."
