@guest #23: "Frankly I would say Tracy King and Patricia Neale (owner of Swork) have done more to raise Eagle Rock property values than everyone else combined."
Tracy and Tricia have done a tremendous amount of service, but one needs to look back to people like Kathleen Aberman chaining herself to buildings to keep them from being destroyed and the early work of TERA to get the Colorado Blvd. Specific Plan enacted to see where the changes for ER began.
@STARCHY: Starchy, I also smell something fishy in that comment. Those of us who live in Eagle Rock know how much Tracy King has contributed to the community. Frankly I would say Tracy King and Patricia Neale (owner of Swork) have done more to raise Eagle Rock property values than everyone else combined. This Eagle Rock homeowner is most grateful…….I have also noticed that the snark has a way of coming out on the internet when either of these two are mentioned.
Granted it isn’t a lot of square footage but it is a sweet and clean house in a great neighborhood. It seems almost crazy cheap for Eagle Rock. Either they are expecting a bidding war or there is something wrong with the house or street that we aren’t seeing.
Cute little house. But too much white inside. It needs some creative schemes inside. That beautiful green grass looks so inviting. Now finally one of these small houses that don’t have the over done rock garden or succulent desert displays that make yard comparable to plastic covered sofa’s.
The 12 Best Parts of Eric Garcetti's Reddit Session Last Night
Dear MAYOR-ELECT / HIPSTERGARCETTI,
I hope you will focus on THREEPRIORITIES:
Totally agree, we need one light rail from the Sylmar Metrolink to Van Nuys station of the Orange Line, down to the Westwood/UCLA station of the Purple line, to the Expo/Sepulveda station of the Expo line, with a second phase down to the Aviation/Century station. This can be the signature Garcetti project. It will do more for congestion than any of the preceding lines. But it will plug into a functioning system when it’s built.
The second priorty is to extend the Crenshaw line to meet the Purple Line at Wilshire/La Cienega, and to meet the Red Line at Hollywood/Highland. Please fixate on this. Basically, the PINKLINE can be the northern extension / phase II of the Crenshaw line instead of a more expensive heavy rail subway.
Finally, and this is a METRO regional project, with only one section in Los Angeles proper (Eagle Rock)… Extend the Gold Line west or the Orange line east to connect North Hollywood and Pasadena.
Because LA residents work in Burbank and need to go to Glendale, and those people need to come and work in LA.
Good luck, MR. MAYOR, I voted for you, don’t let me down.
LA County Median Home Price Up $95k Since May 2012
@guest #36: Ah but are missing the point. Which is the Asians are buying all the real estate out from under us citizens. And we want to live in DTLA, Silverlake, Echo Park, and sometimes Eagle Rock. They need to stop taking away our chances to own!
