Grove-Style Makeover on the Way in Downtown Pac Pal
Caruso said the plans "truly reflect the local residents’ wishes." I hope so. As far as @effron’s comment – you created that image out of thin air, because none of that is true. A ghost town? Dude, you clearly don’t live anywhere close to here.
Here Are the First Photos in 80 Years From Inside the Abandoned Warner Huntington Park Theater
I love that concession stand. Its so ugly yet so wonderfully preserved and certainly indicative of the history of film exhibition in the United States. That being said, the rest fo the theater is classically gorgeous. If only we could air lft this whole theater to a place where a decently preserved theater could thrive.
Fantastically Flipped Highland Park Home Lists for $1MM
How many of you attended the open house? The design is really well done but the quality of the craftsmanship is hideous. The photos don’t show any of this. There’s an obvious good and bad to every move, amazing huge bathroom with fireplace but crappy tub. Sloppy tile work in the bathrooms, messy paint marks on the floor and in the rail spaces above the pocket doors, gaps in miter joints on the kitchen countertops hastily filled in, flimsy ikea shelves in the kitchen, ugly air conditioning units plopped on the roof instead of being tucked neatly in a less visible location. Here you have some artsy people with good design sense that don’t know how to build. Brilliant vision, poor execution.
Looks like a maximum security prison from the air. I would tear down the house. I am sure that the strong Arabian cologne smell can’t be bleached from the walls.
24-Story Tower Planned for the Historic Core's South Spring
@null: Indeed, what about our views?!? I mean, all this density is giving people the option to not have to drive around our city and choke up our air. I’d much rather have expansive views of brown air. Yes please!
Some Bel Air Residents Are Livid Their Street Will Close Briefly for Filming
ok, let’s review. All of this non sense from a guy who got fired from Ticketmaster?! Really? And he’s asking $5k from each homeowner in Bel-Air for what exactly?! How pathetic. In case Fred and his cronies have forgotten where they live- we’re in LA you idiots…you know…the Entertainment Capital of the WORLD. Fred’s constant ranting makes me think he needs some new meds or needs to put the bottle down. #Boom!
Some Bel Air Residents Are Livid Their Street Will Close Briefly for Filming
Do I have to remind everyone that filmmaking is one of the economic engines that drives and defines our city? Do I have to remind them that runaway production costs jobs, drains the tax coffers and in general makes Los Angeles and all of California poorer, and more like all those places you non-natives fled from in the first place! Suck it up for a few hours, a few days or whatever it takes. You live in Bel Air…. check into the Beverly Hills Hotel for the night if it bugs you that much.
Some Bel Air Residents Are Livid Their Street Will Close Briefly for Filming
This is ridiculous. It is overnight! And many of the residents of Bel Air are in the business. Screw them. They’re rich. They can go to a hotel, or out of town on the night in question. They are bitching just to bitch.
