CasdenWestLA Chopping Off 7 Stories, Target, Supermarket
So once again, taking industrial and commercial zoned properties, where jobs are created and had, and turning it into residential. The cement yard created jobs, both in the yard and outside; the rock quarry next door, the same. Now those jobs are gone and what could have replaced them, Target and the supermarket are gone too. Wake up LA before all that’s left in our City is residential and you have to commute out of the City to buy anything and work, you know a JOB.

This is so cool. Highland Park brags that they are an historical preservation zone, eagle rock that they are blue ribbon certified, Pasadena that they are tree city USA, and Venice that they are gq magazine designated coolest neighborhood in the US. NONE of them can claim unesco world heratige status like we will soon be able to!!!
BOOGIENIGHTS is the go to movie about life in the valley in the 70s, when I grew up. It was a world of sex, drugs, rock and roll and free lovin hippies with long shlongs
Hollywood Gets LA to Overhaul the Spring Street Bike Lanes
Wow…A bunch of hipsters who drink, smoke, thrift shop, blog and bike vs the film industry…I am amazed anybody even listened to you hipsters and your point of view got as far as you did…well done. Why did city government cave in at all to the mustachioed special interest group who contributes almost nothing economically and only deconstructs culturally? I have an idea! At your next indie rock show at the Smell or the Echo lets pass around a collection jar and after a couple years maybe you guys will have saved the $250k to cover the costs of repainting the bike lane green instead passing it on to us taxpayers…As a location manager who lives in downtown I was there the rainy day the bike lane got painted and workers were joking what a dumb job it was. None of us opposed a bike lane, we opposed a green bike lane. Anybody with a sense of aesthetic (aren’t you guys all self described artists anyway?) would want a neon green bike lane in a historic part of the city. No…with you hipsters it is all about irony…biking in LA, the ultimate irony….Well, we have compromised. So now you can go back to moaning when our trucks are parked near your art gallery, coffee shop, record store, vegan restaurant, etc…remember extortion is a punishable and enforceable crime…see you on Spring street losers.
Many people don’t realize that Eagle Rock is a Blue Ribbon Certified community many years running. Even Silver Lake doesn’t have bragging rights to this. I’m surprised the listing agent didn’t mention this in his listing.
