Can’t the editor at Curbed LA cut out the negativity?? Is there something about pointing to inexpensive import goods at a Retailer that is specific to Target or to a planned store in E. Hollywood? Isn’t this a bit gratuitous?
You should do your homework before spouting erroneous information on the developers.
That project was sold (fully entitled and ready to build) to ANOTHER developer who then couldn’t complete the project due to financing issues.
THIS developer (Piedmont LA) finished 42 condos near paramount studios last year – http://www.5037rosewood.com/ and completed Occidental Plaza (4414 E York Blvd) down the street from Oxy Lofts in 2008.
It’s really a sign of the times when this is the stuff posted on Curbed. May I suggest this winning short sale in Florence-Graham? Witness the salmon paint job, the laundry on the bunk bed, the chain-link fence. Love it! http://www.redfin.com/CA/Los-Angeles/237-E-66th-St-90003/home/7276552
I know it’s supposed to be "all about the view" in Malibu (or as Chad-e-kins says, the "boo") but the house looks souless and the furnishings are so pedestrian. I know that prices are still high in Malibu, but, ya know, not if you gave it to me. If John Lautner were alive, maybe he could work his magic on it……..seeing the only thing that’s cool about it is the metal railing on the one patio…..and maybe the kitchen. Oh well, to each his own as they say.
Hold your shopping carts, folks. I think that Fresh Ranch Market is an excellent example of late 1960s strip mall architecture. Let’s have a study. Maybe Target can tear down the back of it and maintain the facade?
@Woolsey, maybe the E&Y Plaza garage won’t be such a CF if they get rid of the first 27 hours free with validation policy.
Yeah, I don’t your peoples fucking lifestyles, you guys are a bunch of fucking terrorists. California is going right, just watch.
W e are not going to let you turn California into a fucking toilet. I’m not moving anywhere.
