Why don’t people move into the neighborhoods they want to live in, instead of trying to change the nature of an already existing established neighborhood? If you like McMansions, there are plenty of them in places like Irvine Calabasas, Lake Sherwood, etc. Why destroy the vibe of an area with history, charm, old growth trees and a friendly atmosphere?

An $1865/month apt in Silver Lake or Los Feliz, with quiet neighbors, tons of stores and subway/bus links to Downtown is worth every penny.
