Silver Lake midcentury with walls of glass, lush landscaping seeks $1.2M
I think the house is gorgeous and the views are stellar. For the price though, we bought a 1954 mid-century in Jefferson Park – Almost 3 times the size of this, with a pool, a guest house and a three-car garage. JP is no Silver Lake tho …
I was initially drawn to Topanga as well, but if you look at the price history, there must be something really wrong with it (or an increasingly desperate and underwater owner). Went from trying to get almost $1.5m in mid-2017, to asking $849k in late-2017, and then back on the market now for $749k.
anyone using the argument that this is a loss for job creation should go back and look at the fact that the jobs amazon would have paid averaged $150,000 annually. those are NOT entry or mid-level jobs. that does nothing to help the majority of NYC.
Don’t forget the 2,245 people murdered in New York City in 1990 alone!
"On May 18, 1993, The Post’s front page dubbed the 5.5 square miles of the precinct’s neighborhoods — East New York and Cypress Hills — a "KILLING GROUND." Someone was slain there an average of once every 63 hours."
Summerhill rentals could break ground this summer, as redevelopment hits overdrive
Heh, looks like they "updated" their info then. I was at the Carter Quarterly meeting when the president of HH presented their plans. We pushed for the price points and $200-mid $300s was what he gave us, but you can tell he was (excuse the pun) hedging.

The Hedgewoord Homes are targeted for a lower price point that usual—$200-mid $300s. The townhomes are smaller to reflect those pricepoints, but the finishes should be pretty good.
In the fight against mid town congestion maybe the city could mandate the airline crews in buses staying in midtown stay at the airport? These seem some mighty nice digs and JFK/Newark could do the same thing.
Nice hotel, convenient for business travelers. No traffic after dinner meeting getting there, wake up and walk to plane. Easy peasy
Beverly Hills subway station could get bathrooms, security dogs
Hmph, in my day kids walked to school or thumbed a ride from friendly motorists! Teenagers are a bunch of babies nowadays, with their "bodyguards" and "bomb-sniffing dogs." Why, me and Lana Turner used to jump-rope in the mine fields off Wilshire Boulevard back in the late 30s, with no supervision.
Los Angeles is for wussies now!
