Officials: Partially collapsed old Masquerade building to be restored to former glory
a.) they essentially have to restore b/c this building is protected b.) their entire plan was to make this a renewed historic building so the value was in keeping this building intact. c.) UNRELATED to this building, but the Poncey Highland historic district thing sounds like a pain in the arse proposal backed by a bunch of NIMBYs that will essentially result in no new affordable / more dense development.
The Ansley Park one for location.
A little imagination in redecorating could make the space much more interesting. That glassed in room looks sad currently but could be a great asset.
Big reveal: $925K for a cozy co-op in prime Park Slope
Exactly, if anyone thinks a 2 br in prime Park Slope isn’t "worth" 900K, they are being delusional. A young family earning a modest $525,000 a year with one kid looking to get into 321 will drop 900,000 on this place.

"This City has a pretty big history of segregation."
"Others coming into a traditionally black neighborhood can be perceived as harmful."
Is segregation bad, or isn’t it? This is exactly my point. We can’t live in two alternate realities where we agree on the evils of historical segregation, yet don’t agree contemporary integration isn’t (at least part of) a solution.
That’s also not to say neighborhoods need to fundamentally "change" as they become more ethnically and economically diverse. Trust me, no one moves to Bronzeville because they think it’s the next Lincoln Park. Bronzeville doesn’t need to (nor will it ever) loose it’s "blackness." Quite the opposite. I’d argue part of the problem with {current} Bronzeville is that it doesn’t play on its cultural legacy enough. As a small anecdotal example, I live steps from the old Sunset Cafe, which was the first fully integrated jazz club in Chicago. And also happens to be the place where Louis Armstrong made a name for himself. Yet, there’s not a single cultural institution, jazz club or venue that celebrates that legacy.
That’s a problem. And these are problems we can tackle as human beings. Not "black", or "white", or whatever. The Left’s obsession with race is exactly why I’ve abandoned them. When we look at everything from the lens of race, we can’t then be surprised that race is all we see. We’re supposed to learn from history, not live in it.
Big reveal: $925K for a cozy co-op in prime Park Slope
I guess this is what living in Park Slope is all about today. It’s pricey. But the maintenance charge is relatively low. Seeing that many guessed around $900K, it may sell for that.

SunTrust Park’s new name will be unveiled next week. Any last-minute suggestions?
Since I am a current Atlanta Braves worker at the new stadium, us stadium workers got to have a say so in this as well. With my gate which is the largest gate there is at the ballpark (Chop-House) gate I still work at eventhough it faces the battery out to the open area I believe with that said it should be renamed to: Battery Stadium or Atlanta Braves Stadium. Has a catchy name to it & a nice ring to it don’t you guys think? The 1st phrase that came to mind was Battery Stadium since the whole plaza is surrounding the outside skirts of the stadium. And the stadium is the Atlanta Braves new ballpark & I originally host the gate since we generally get 3,000-4,000 guests/fans that come in through my gate stand alone & that my gate & right field gate all opens out & flows out to the battery plaza. Everyone loves it when I host my gate (The Chop-House Gate). So here are your suggestions guys:
Welcome to The Battery Stadium
Welcome to The Battery Park
Welcome to The Battery Atlanta Stadium
Welcime to The Battery Atlanta Park
Welcome to The Atlanta Braves Stadium
Welcome to The Atlanta Braves Park or Ballpark
Kind of catchy huh? But I got to see what it really going to be called cause I got to see what I am going to say welcome to:_______________ since I always host my gate before our gate doors open to my gate. I always get a huge fan base crowd alone that comes through my gate. So if you haven’t been to my gate or through it please stop by & come check me out on my work that I do. I am the fastest scanner there scanning to nearly 100-tickets an hour. & yes you (Chop-House ) gate host name is: Reco or calling me by my nickname that I got is MADEA since I love me tyler perrys movies & stage plays with him playing as Madea character. Yep that’s me in humor joke.
