Inglewood’s NFL stadium now officially SoFi Stadium
Happens more often than not. That is one of the misgivings that civic leaders/team owners never seem to consider when they are blinded by a check.
Hilarious that the statement ("will run onto the field") from the Rams reads as if is an accomplishment or something to be celebrated.
"We’ve sold our integrity and denigrated the physical embodiment of our franchise to fledgling, forgettable finance company with little to no presence in our community."
Dodger Stadium, you’re up on the auction block next!!!
6 open houses to check out this weekend in Los Angeles
The Brentwood condo is pretty cool but it needs a lot of love in some very expensive places, like the bathrooms, kitchen, and all the window treatments. Not sure if that cost-outlay is already built into the $1.299m asking price but I think a buyer should expect to sink at least $150k into the place.
Contested plan to build homeless housing on youth rec site in Echo Park forges ahead
Homeless people need to leave. Full stop. If you can’t afford a roof, get out. There is no god given right to live in L.A. These people need to be removed , no coddled.
they can go to Flagstaff. Or Topeka. Or Yuma. Or West Virginia.
So sick of all this B.S. and wasted money that will solve nothing. The people i see on the street are bums and drunks – they are not going to live in these places. They need to be removed for our city.
Or moved them all to Brentwood one night.. if those rich people had to cope ,they’d force the drunks on to busses headed east in 30 mins.
Five homes for sale in Los Angeles for under $790K
I was all about that Brentwood condo until I saw the freeway in the front yard which explains the very reasonable price. Mt Washington is by far the best value with the additional cottage you can rent out, but really all of them seemed to be pretty good
85 apartments for homeless, low-income residents underway in El Sereno
you are correct about brentwood, i mistyped and forgot to correct it , brentwood is part of the city of los angeles, a city that permits people to sleep on the streets. If the people sleep in their cars or hide in the woods then great, but having permanent encampments in front of your apartment is permitted by liberals in Los Angeles, not bev hills and the others i mentioned. Being poor doesn’t give you the right to squat and bring down other people quality of life. Itts permitted here and that is why you have tent/filth cities.

@eathis ,
1. "you are naive, there are virtually no homeless in beverly hills or brentwood or west hollywood or burbank. they don’t allow it." You mean like that homeless encampment in Brentwood that started the Skirball Fire which burned down mansions and came close to burning down the Getty Museum???
There are many homeless people in those neighborhoods, they just aren’t very visible, because they camp in the hills, canyons, or sleep inside their vehicles with the windows covered up.
2. "Brazil has 1/6 th the homeless population of usa with 2/3 the total population and 1/10 the gdp. its not about about money its about culture." Really, so you’re saying that all those millions of people who live in the Brazillian city slums and Favelas run by drug gangs don’t exist. Yeah, you could say that those people are being "housed" …. but they also live in extreme poverty, drug addiction, malnutrition, and lack basic hygiene, medical and mental healthcare. You could say the same thing about the rural poor in Kentucky or Alabama, having a roof over their heads doesn’t make their lives much better than the homeless in L.A. Their rate of Opioid addiction and Opioid overdose is probably even higher, and their lifespans are shorter.
