Planners OK With Meier & Partners All Saints Expansion, Preservationists Still Peeved
Personally I’ve been to all saint and applaud their views and mission but honestly what i know and how about it and how this place runs is a testament not to God but to Rev Bacon and his ego. Seriously folks, does the church honestly need a 75 high building? I"m a planner myself and there is no doubt the design and massing of the building is completely out of character with the area. I find it quite arrogant of Rev Bacon and the members say the architecture has to be look progressive just because they are progressive. What a load of (&(*(((YO and it was counter to what he preaches and what Jesus preaches. I felt like I was some peon in an elitist religious organization while canapes were being served in a mansion. And i won’t even go on how Rev Bacon snub a well know journalist/editor from the largest paper from Johannesburg, S. A (my friend) who wanted to write an article on the church. Totally turned me off. The church doesn’t need an edifice to Rev Bacon ego’s. The only reason Pasadena is going along with this is they don’t want to appear anti christian going against the great All Saints and Rev Ed Bacon! Trust me folks, that’s what’s going on.
Tour the Fabulous Future Home of LA's First Ace Hotel
This is the same Anthony Heinsbergen who occupied — and may have designed — that fantastic pastiche of gothic rennaisancery over on the 7400 block of Beverly Boulevard. Architect Ed Fickett’s offices occupied the upper floors for decades till just last year…though his additions were decidedly more modernist in style.
@Sheriff Bart: Considering teen drivers have the highest death rate on the road, the schools available right now are not cutting it. A stronger driver’s ed program is safer for everyone driving.
Melrose's Orbit Hostel Becoming a Palihotel With Thai Massage, Rooms Starting at $150/Night
Points taken, but you can’t walk to any major attractions from there. It is a mostly residential area and Melrose is kind of a bummer unless you really love Ed Hardy.
