Beltline CEO: ‘We’re discouraging casual use’ during coronavirus restrictions
It may not "land" on you…but it could very well be smeared on you, either quite literally by touching an infected individual or by touching an object that was also touched by an infected individual.
Sure, we can "physical distance" but the probability of us touching an object touched by an infected person goes up dramatically the more people are "physically distancing" at Piedmont Park or the Beltline. This virus is the hulk of viruses; take it serious now.
Lindbergh MARTA stop’s transit-oriented community primed for makeover
The Lindbergh/Morosgo area is in Buckhead proper and it has been a thorn in the side of anyone who lives around that area for the very reasons that HerbieCurbie has noted.
Hopefully it will be improved upon, b/c it truly is a worn-out, unattractive, crime-magnet mess that can turn into a circus at night. The neighborhoods that it borders (Garden Hills, Peachtree Hills, Peachtree Park) are wonderful COA gems, so it’s sad that it’s been permitted to exist in such a sad state to begin with.
Stylish midcentury post and beam below the Hollywood Sign asks $1.6M
I assume, "With the abundance of information available on the Internet, a potential buyer could not be so naive, as to be surprised by tourist traffic." Or something.
I was aware of the tourist issues, and that the neighborhood was pushing the powers-that-be, to make it more difficult to park without a permit. That was several years ago. I guess I’ll Google, out of curiosity…
I now work often as a location manager for film/TV/commercials/print, so I scout for a living. But never as an adult, have I had my picture taken in front of a landmark of any sort. To "prove" that I was there? To show people who could not give a #$%@ ?
Remember in the 50s – 70s, when it was a joke on TV shows, and in film, that a neighbor would subject friends to vacation pics/slides? Now Facebook has turned millions into bizarre photo pimps. It’s the visual equivalent to torturous "Christmas newsletters."
Beltline CEO: ‘We’re discouraging casual use’ during coronavirus restrictions
If all the local parks were not closed, those looking to get out of the house would not be so concentrated in the available areas. I was at Chastain Park earlier and there were a ton of people walking around the perimeter on the sidewalks.
Sweet studio in historic West Village building wants $539K
This studio is really small. I don’t see a floorplan anywhere but it doesn’t even appear to have an alcove. A great location close to Hudson River Park, but the price seems a little high. I say $450K is around what it will sell for.
During self-quarantine, gather the family for these Atlanta home maintenance tasks
This is fine to keep ppl busy and if you have the materials at home to do the maintenance, by all means, go for it. BUT I have heard and seen the full parking lots at places like HD and Lowes last wknd and gawd damn ppl, that defeats the purpose if y’all are all rushing into a crowded store to get shit to keep busy at home when you’re supposed to be self isolating! It’s like the damn idiots that are crowding into Piedmont Park and the Beltline. WTF is the point of all this if y’all gonna end up defeating the purpose of everyone else trying to stay home by getting out there and allowing this thing to spread. So yeah, STOP going to the store, unless it’s the grocery store and you can’t get delivery. Stop going into crowded places. You’re hurting urself, your family, your friends, the cashiers at these stores and their families, etc. Just stay the F home and work on your projects IF you already have the materials.
