$1 Million no longer gets you a pool I see. The Hollywood hills house seems like the right amount for the right spot. Topanga is tempting but not after all of those fires and evacuations we recently had. Sadly, living there would be a nightmare during fire season.
An updated look is on the horizon for the La Brea Tar Pits
Of all the open spaces in the County, I never thought of the Tar Pits Park in need of a fancy "reimagining". The park is great. The Page museum is beautifully sited. What kid hasn’t rolled down the grassy hills comprising the sides of the building?
Councilmembers say other cities sending homeless residents to LA
@Razorflake. Unfortunately I don’t think there are any other solutions since the problem is so out of hand. There are 59,000 homeless in LA County. That is a little less than the population of Beverly Hills and Culver City combined. If there were 10k to 20k homeless then we could do the whole bridge housing and supportive housing thing. But at this point we are talking about tent cities with cots because that is the only way to have the number of new beds increase faster than the homeless population is increasing.

Like Beverly Hills or Bel Aire will allow this. Sorry but money talks. Cities should be able to enforce laws. I feel for the homeless but blocking sidewalks and taking up residence in tents is not attractive sight. 2020 new city officials. Bonin back to east coast. Enough of this I insanity train.

Buscaino is right. It’s been known for years that Rancho Palos Verdes, PV Estates and Rolling Hills bus their transients to nearby San Pedro, which is in LA City.
Councilmembers say other cities sending homeless residents to LA
Wow – it took how many years for them to admit this publicly?
Not coincidentally, Culver City city hall and Beverly Hills city hall do not have a rodent infestation, typhus outbreak, needles in the streets, urban campers, lean-to’s, encampments, etc, etc, etc..
Good for them and their taxpaying, following-the-law citizenry!
And Buscaino, I don’t see CC or BH "stepping up" to solve a problem YOU helped foster for YEARS!
The make-up of the local neighborhood councils and commissions, the people leading local initiatives for clean-ups, school fundraising events, etc., all equal or majority tenant. Might be different in other neighborhoods, I’m sure the opposite is probably true in places like Beverly Hills or the Palisades, but it happens to be the case in Hollywood.
Longtime home of curator Lyn Kienholz hits the market for $2.4M
A lot of Hollywood Hills homes were built in the 20s, it must have been a real trip to get the underpowered/bad brakes cars of that era up and down the steep hills. I’d have an anxiety attack daily wondering if I’d make it
