Riding the bus up and down Colorado has little appeal to most in Eagle Rock.

Oh, Concerned doesn’t live anywhere near Eagle Rock. He’s just looking out for any neighborhoods that might suffer a road diet.

I’m not so sure. Measure M passed with 71% of the vote. LA continues to vote to fund transit expansion. Even the community input for the BRT in Eagle Rock was about split between for and against and those tend to skew toward NIMBYs.

Try meeting more people in your neighborhood that don’t look like you or your friends, because it is not homogenous in any way…

According to the LA Times’ round up of neighborhood demographics Eagle Rock is 40% Latino, 30% White, 24% Asian, 2% Black and 4% other.

It’s actually not opposed by large numbers of people in Eagle Rock. I suspect the same of Pasadena.

I’m sorry but that simply isn’t true. There is a public lot on Caspar that is only one block over from where the Eagle Rock and Colorado Blvd. intersection. I know because I often park there when I meet my girlfriend/Eagle Rock resident for lunch or dinner. Honestly I’ve never had any difficulty finding a parking space in Eagle Rock besides why do you assume there will be a loss of parking spaces? Has METRO said there will be a loss?

There are no public lots in Eagle Rock. Removing parking is not a viable option.
