The property includes parcels totaling 12,650 square feet. In front is a neatly trimmed front lawn and a covered porch. The grassy backyard has room for outdoor dining and the side yard is equipped with a swimming pool and spa.

Located at 3727 Pine Avenue, the house is asking $1.15 million.

Wide windows illuminate the living room, which flows into the formal dining room.
The dining room includes a handsome built-in buffet with glass-doored cabinets.
Vintage features include French doors and vintage wood floors.
The house has a large backyard and a swimming pool in the side yard.

Wow, what more could you want? A Craftsman with lots of well cared for wood, big yard, pool, garage, plenty of room for a big family, all for a fairly reasonable price. I predict another Curbed featured house fast sale

A lot of house and land, and I was excited looking through the front room photos.

Craftsman homes without period sensitive kitchens and baths are real letdowns. I mean, come on, just install some counters that mimic the color of soapstone…or how about actual soapstone?

If this house had those, then $1.2 million in Long Beach would be more enticing

As I look at these photos, I realize the only parts of the house with original character are probably in these photos – look at the hint of a kitchen (modernized somehow), the completely modernized rear exterior (probably an addition of some sort), the lack of ba/bed photos. Not to say it’s a bad house, just that we’re only looking at a smallish part of the story here.

The addition and kitchen aren’t great, but at least they didn’t ruin the original character to achieve a more modern, livable house for a large family. The whole set-up just looks like a great place to raise a bunch of kids

If I lived here, at least three of my friends would attempt a gainer off of that master balcony into the pool.

Love the old photographs.

That second floor rear addition is horrendous.

why is the pool so close to the house with a 12,650 foot lot? sell a parcel and make a new backyard and kitchen. necco is right, addition is horrible. bland, cheap.
the front rooms are sooooo beautiful.

Awesome family house. Odd thing going on with the rear patio over the pool perhaps from an addition? Looks like there used to be a tennis court on side lot. Great property if you can make Long Beach work for you.

The owners of this house need to look up the word fen·es·tra·tion, which is the arrangement of windows and doors on the elevations of a building. In front, the sliding (?) window where the attic vent used to be really messes up that view. The second story addition in the back is missing windows completely and looks heavy and unnatural. Hard to believe the Los Cerritos historic zone HOA allowed these alterations.

Beautiful home. But I wouldn’t want to live in Long Beach though.

Nate always has the coolest listings. I’ll give him a few more years at work before saying so definitively but he might very well be our current epoch defining realtor. I find it refreshing that his portfolio is filled with quality and cool as opposed to previous epoch defining realtors such as Jade Mills and Joyce Rey whose portfolios are more about grandeur and great wealth or Crosby Doe who only has pedigree properties in his portfolio. Nate certainly has the pedigree properties but he also has the taste and confidence to represent homes such as this one that have the cool factor but not the pedigree. Of course Nate stands out as exceedingly handsome.

I hate the trend of cramming the biggest possible pool in a backyard.

This house has a lousy floor plan and has been Home Depo’d to death. Those tile floors are terrible.
