A giant picture window, comely brick details, and a dramatic round-arched front door let passersby know that this Tudor-style home in Los Feliz’s Franklin Hills neighborhood is a showstopper.

Built in 1925, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house predates the nearby Shakespeare Bridge by one year, but the landmarked bridge’s whimsical towers seem in step with the Tudor home.

Interior features at 1937 Myra Avenue include high ceilings, large windows, a bay window, French doors, hardwood floors, a formal dining room, and a breakfast nook. The home also holds a dedicated laundry room and a “bonus” room that could serve as a home office or guest bedroom.

Outdoor space abounds, as the residence offers three outdoor areas and a deck from which to enjoy the serene neighborhood.

On the market for the first time in 47 years, the house is listed for $1.4 million with George and Eileen Moreno of Keller Williams Realty.

The living room is bright, thanks in part to its enormous picture window.
High ceilings and beautiful floors run throughout the house.
The kitchen and breakfast nook.
One of the house’s three bedrooms.
French doors lead out from the bedroom to one of the house’s outdoor areas.
Along with decks, the house has this lovely brick-paved patio, which is private and spacious.

When the street face of this house is 50% garage door, maybe select a door with a little more character. This is the cheapest door you can buy and it shows.

Ok, where’s the Tudor? All I see is a faux French chateau, but it does seem to be in excellent shape and a fair price for Los Feliz . I would really like to see what it looked like when it was built

Are we sure those exterior shots aren’t from Mission Viejo? Or out in the SGV? I would swear that was the house next door to the house that Randy and Fred crashed the party at.

Tudor-esque only in the living room roof line and arched shape of the front door. Otherwise, not so much.

A traditional paint job with dark trim and cream walls would help. Wood garage door.

This is Tudor with similar elements:

This looks like suburban New Jersey

I was thinking Cleveland Heights.

Nice living room, but otherwise an undistinguished sea of whitewashed boxes.

Priced to sell. Bet it goes significantly over-asking.

It’s a nice home. I could live with that garage door. The bathrooms need some TLC. Everything else looks great to me.

This home looks lovely and is rather gently priced. As MyrnaMonkoff already said it is very much priced to sell. Between this and the Mt. Washington listing I sure hope we aren’t seeing a softening market. I know there are some people who want that but believe me NO ONE benefits from a declining real estate market other than vulture investors.

More affordable housing benefits thousands upon thousands of hopeful, hard working home buyers.

Just needs some color and the interior will be lovely. Paint the horrible brick retaining wall and other brick work and maybe it would look a smidge more "Tudor".
