Built in 1922, this nearly 1,200-square-foot cottage tucked into a cul de sac is a quaint and cute retreat in the hills of Beachwood Canyon.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 6232 Glen Airy Drive is fronted by a red Dutch door. Inside, the colorful palette continues in the kitchen, bedecked in blue, green, and rust-colored tiles and outfitted with a farmhouse sink, an eat-in banquette, and a vintage O’Keefe and Merritt stove. Hardwood floors run throughout, and the living room holds beamed ceilings.

Behind the house is a brick patio and a backyard with a lawn, mature trees, and plentiful foliage that gives the space privacy.

The cottage is on the market for the first time on the market in more than 30 years. It’s listed for $975,000 with Brian Moore of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The definition of charmer. Beautiful.

Now that’s a beautiful kitchen!

I’ve owned an O’K&M stove- sweet!
No one loves a ‘cute cottage’ more than me…
That said, you sure don’t get much for a million bucks these days, huh?!
For a mill, I’d like a bit more than a tiny cottage on a tiny wedge shaped lot!

What a charming little cottage and neighborhood, just bring a bottle of wine and a couple of fat joints and you’re good to go. I bet the owners drive an old VW bus

Cute house. I’m not in love with the tile colors in the kitchen but I guess if you can spend $1 million for a little cottage you can change some tile.

The photographer went crazy with their saturation tools.

I was going to say, I feel like somebody dropped acid into my coffee looking at those photos. The HDR is off the charts!

I always think that HDR makes pictures look "juicy"

Seeing it more and more, on TV too. Hate it!.

I smell "street parking"…. that would be a deal-breaker for sure

(only saying that because I saw a really similar house up there 2 months ago with first-floor garage doors but it had been converted into a downstairs room, so no garage..). A real gem, otherwise.

It has a one car garage.

I’ve been to this house. It’s the lowest priced home in the area but it’s a disaster. You can get twice the house for 1.2m which isn’t saying much…

Unfortunately these folks obliterated the natural charm of this place with sensory overload. It looks like thrift shop heaven………or……..
