Cute; nice.

Seems like a nice house for the money

It is always interesting to see how influential the Steve Jones/Better Shelter style has become. The seller could advertise this as a Better Shelter and only they and Steve Jones would know the truth. I had read somewhere (perhaps on curbed) that there was going to be monograph on the work of Better Shelter but I haven’t seen such a book.

Nice house indeed. The only thing I would have to get rid of right away is the tile flooring in the kitchen. I currently have these tiles in my kitchen and they are a PAIN IN THE NUTS to keep clean and to sweep on. Everything else is done just right. Wish there were more photos of the backyard… if there is one.

Yeah, tile makes little sense in a kitchen, with the exception of a backsplash. Horribly difficult cleaning/maintenance when used for a kitchen floor or countertop.

That’s a really nice place. I don’t know anything about the Highland Park neighborhood. Is this a good price?

I went to the open house in 2015 and everything inside the house looks to have been kept the same, which is a good thing. It’s a beautiful house on a smaller than ideal corner lot. There is a bit of a side yard. It’s diagonally across from a high school, which some buyers might not like. Otherwise, it’s a great location. Very walkable to restaurants and shops on York.

cute house but not that close to high school. best fireplace screen ever. am i the only person that really doesn’t care for subway tile?

You like that screen? Back in the 80s a chain store called the Bombay Company sold them for $29. I had one on my first fireplace in my first house

Bombay was a pretty decent store. My father’s home has several items purchased there in the 80s (usually by me, because the items looked nice, and were reasonably priced).

i like it, but i either have very expensive or very cheap taste. thanksmr. jim

A little of both. Bombay Company specialized in inexpensive versions of classic East Indian British Empire decor.

nice house. I think this all white wall look is here to stay – makes homes feel clean and bright
