Atop a steep street off Figueroa in Highland Park, this house, built in 1950, is in a prime location for views of neighboring hillsides. Two patios offer great vantage points for taking in those vistas.

Inside, the house has been totally updated, with only a few elements here and there hinting at its age, like the hardwood floors that run throughout the residence and fabulous and sunny, vintage-looking custom cabinets in the kitchen.

The house’s two bedrooms are ample in size, and one even includes a connection to the outdoors via a pair of French doors. The lower level includes living space and a “bonus” half bathroom.

The property’s yard is minimally landscaped, and manages to look both appealing and low-maintenance.

Last sold in 2015 for $721,000, public records show, it’s now listed for $859,000.

Wow, great house with lots and lots of steps. Not the place to grow old in

Yeah, but imagine how toned your glutes will be.

How would you like to be the guys delivering the new grand piano the owners just bought?

They would charge extra for that many steps.

Ok, the owner paid the extra, now you’re one of the guys who has to carry it up. The extra delivery charge didn’t make that piano any lighter

needs a funicular.
Other than that MIR

The neighborhood, price point, and amount of stairs suggest to me that this will make the ideal starter home for a young person or young couple.

And someone who really likes yellow!!!
