Hollywood Dell ranch house has strong time capsule vibes for $1.9M

This handsome, rambling Hollywood Dell residence was built in 1949, and though it doesn’t look dated, it does have a wonderful time capsule look, with its full bar, retro kitchen, and (original) pastel pink-tiled master bathroom.

The house benefits from a bevy of windows throughout, which appear original or period correct.

The living room’s vaulted ceiling makes the space look expansive and the stone-fronted fireplace and a full bar make the room a natural choice for entertaining.

The property is actually four separate lots joined together, measuring over a half acre. The house hasn’t been on the market in 67 years, and was clearly well-maintained.

It’s listed for $1.9 million.

Price is post flipper remudel less obscene ROI.
So it might be worth the extra just to do a light touch or to the studs remodel.
With a flat half an acre a new master and a secondary dwelling unit would be a nice add.

There is nothing that needs to be altered, (read as ruined), with this home. It is true and genuine. After having the same ownership for 67 years, I hope the new owner will keep this home as-is, adding but their own spirit to the place.

Thank the goddess the flippers and stagers didn’t get to maul this home. I was imagining the rooms all painted white and grey….and filled with cheap Eames knock-offs.

Well … clearly the stagers have already ruined the vibe of the place with MCM furniture that (again) looks out of place in a house of this type. Interesting house … I like it.
