During yesterday's budget discussions, City Councilmember Tom LaBonge "asked staff to replace the phone system’s hold music with something inspired by Los Angeles. Councilman Joe Buscaino also asked the engineers to replace the music that plays on Channel 35 before and after the city council meetings." LaBonge suggested such classics as Arlo Guthrie's "Coming Into Los Angeles," Missing Persons's "Walking in LA," Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park," and "LA Woman" by the Doors. [SCPR]
