New fire station finally coming? The long vacant, city-owned lot at the corner of Hollywood and Van Ness is being considered as the site for the new Fire Station No. 82--and there's a fancy big announcement about the lot next week. City officials tell us that Councilmember Tom LaBonge will appear next Tuesday, May 8, at 6 pm at (the current) Fire Station No. 82, which is located at 1800 N.
