Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ’hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $2,300. Vote for your favorite below!

Hollywood Hills

This one-bedroom, one-bath is a newly renovated and located just one mile away from Runyon Canyon and near the many restaurants and entertainment spots that Hollywood Boulevard offers. It features lots of closet and storage space, natural lighting, and one parking space. It’s renting for $2,200.

Mid-Wilshire

If you’re looking for a centrally located unit, how about this renovated unit near LACMA and Little Ethiopia? Spacious and bright, the one-bedroom, one-bath is equipped with an AC unit, large windows, a dishwasher, and hardwood flooring throughout. Part of small garden complex along San Vicente Boulevard, it’s renting for $2,245.

The retro tile in this apartment’s kitchen and bathroom is very charming. The one bedroom, one bath also features elegant dark stained wood floors, a modern chandelier in the dining area, and large, nearly floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. The pet-friendly unit is renting for $2,200.

West LA

This one-bedroom, one-bath comes with a balcony, new flooring throughout, and white quartz countertops in the kitchen. Located near the 10 and 405 freeways, it’s also close to the poshly remodeled Westfield Century City. Bonus: Cats are allowed! It’s renting for $2,200.
