Reality star and makeup maven Kylie Jenner’s Hidden Hills house is a mixture of luxury and play that seems appropriate for such a young, wealthy person. Architectural Digest took a tour of the 21-year-old’s home, designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who also worked on the homes of Kylie’s half-sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
“Kylie is the ultimate celebrity, the ultimate influencer,” Bullard tells Architectural Digest. But this residence was something totally new for her: “This was her first really grown-up house,” he says.
Jenner was looking for a “fresh, fun vibe” but also wanted to incorporate a lot of pink, a color that Jenner loves. For his part, Bullard added a layer of “sumptuousness,” weaving in velvet, silk, alpaca, and shearling.
The result is a collection of glittering, plush rooms, accented with gold-leaf ceilings, gumdrop-like suede ottomans, and custom neon signs.
Some spaces were customized for Jenner’s very particular needs. “My closets and glam room are very personal to me, even down to the size of each drawer,” Jenner says. “I spend a lot of time in those rooms, so we had to make sure they were perfect.”
