This Los Feliz midcentury is a dream.

Hidden behind a fence and landscaping in Vermont Canyon, the 1950s residence is fronted by a large yard. River rock accents and large corner windows create an inviting entrance. The river rock carries through inside, cladding two fireplaces alongside wood paneling, refinished hardwood floors, and beautiful blond wood accents.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is marketed as “airy and open.” Upgrades include a new kitchen, updated bathrooms with stunning minimalist white tile and skylights, and custom-made oversized sliding doors for the communal rooms. One area that hasn’t been updated: the fall-out shelter in the garage. That space could be used as extra storage or, as intended, a room where the buyer’s apocalypse supplies are kept.

Behind 2361 North Vermont Avenue, there’s a large covered outdoor area with a built-in fireplace and a grassy space. The property is a short walk away from Griffith Park, if more outdoor space is required.

Last sold in August 2018 for $1.975 million, it’s listed now for $2.295 million with Neil McDermott and Beate Kessler-McDermott of Hilton & Hyland.
