Soothing Spanish-style in Pasadena seeks $1.5M

This old Spanish dame designed by Gothic church architect Harold Huxtable Martin has been reinterpreted by Herringbone Design. In remodeling the home, which was built in 1924, Herringbone opened up the floor plan and added custom cabinets, several pairs of French doors, a tray ceiling in the living room, and wide-plank Oak floors.

Blessedly, Herringbone left the living room’s original brick fireplace intact. The two bathrooms and kitchen, none of which appeared to have been in original condition before the remodel, were treated to a thorough updating for contemporary tastes. The master suite now features black limestone floors, white subway tile, a steam shower, double vanity, and brass fixtures.
