There’s movement on a lot between Wilton Place and the 101 Freeway in Hollywood. Right now, the empty site is showing signs of life, with cement trucks filling the lot.
The property at 5750 Hollywood Boulevard will give way to an apartment complex 161 units and 5,700-square-feet of street-level retail, easy walking distance to Metro’s Hollywood and Western subway station.
The developer, Wood Partners, says 5750 Hollywood is expected to open in July 2020.
Residences in the East Hollywood project will be a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units, and a handful of loft-style apartments. Fourteen of the units will be for low-income residents.
Designed by architecture firm Carrier Johnson + Culture, the seven-story development will offer residents a rooftop terrace and a pool. Renderings show some residences will also have balconies.
This is the second project Wood Partners has built in this neighborhood. Its previous project, at 5550 Hollywood Boulevard (named “The Fifty Five Fifty”), opened in April, with apartments renting from $2,445 for studios to $5,920 for three-bedrooms.
It holds 250 units and sits just east of 5750 Hollywood.
