Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ’hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $3,000. Vote for your favorite below.

The search begins in Pasadena, where this darling three-bedroom bungalow is located. The bright, enclosed porch, wood floors, sweet hexagonal ceramic tile, and new kitchen are just a few of the charms of the 1,100-square-foot house. It rents for $3,000.

This sweet little cottage in Silver Lake is just north of iconic Sunset Boulevard. The two-bedroom, 675-square-foot house has a stone-paved patio, central air-conditioning, hardwood floors, and off-street parking. It rents for $2,900.

Over in Glendale, this sweet two-bedroom, two-bathroom house has vintage charm, wood floors, upgraded bathrooms, and a pool. The house comes with parking off-street. It rents for $2,950.

On the Westside, we find this Brentwood two-bedroom with 1.5 baths. (That extra half bathroom is great for parties!) The ground-floor unit has outdoor access, cute vintage tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. It also has a parking spot. It rents for $2,950.

This Sherman Oaks apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms—the luxury! The unit offers quartz counters, in-unit laundry machines, a balcony, and central air conditioning. There’s also a parking spot. It rents for $3,100.
