Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA ’hoods. We’ve found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $2,000.

Atop South Pasadena’s Raymond Hill, this sweet midcentury one-bedroom apartment is one of just four units in the building. The ground-floor unit has a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. There are hardwood floors and hook-ups for an in-unit washer and dryer. There’s also a detached one-car garage. The apartment rents for $2,000.
