A little TLC could go a long way

From the street, this 848-square-foot fixer-upper is fairly nondescript. But its cool, pastel green exterior hides solid potential.

In the living room, the house retains its original 1941 hardwood floors, as well as a handful of large windows to let in natural light.

The compact kitchen features newish-looking cabinets and a dining area. The residence’s two bedrooms are ample and bright, but do include vibrant aqua carpet. (Some people are into that!) The full bathroom has a shower enclosure with white and blue tile.

The yards behind and in front of the home are spacious and could really blossom with some new plantings and landscaping.

Located in the northeastern part of Pasadena, near Hastings Ranch, this house has a pretty good location: up-close views of the foothills, proximity to a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, a Vroman’s bookstore, and it’s a half mile away from the Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station.

The property is listed for $590,000.
