Perched among the treetops in the hills of Silver Lake, this 1925-built home is looking light and airy after a recent remodel.

The house last sold in 2009 for $640,000 and appears to have been thoroughly updated since then. The three-bedroom home has 2,194 square feet of living space spread across two levels, with hardwood and tile floors, glass doors, and modern-style lighting fixtures.

The kitchen has been overhauled with dark wood cabinetry, new appliances, and a farmhouse sink. Meanwhile, a library room is equipped with plenty of shelving and a central sound system that can also be used in the master bedroom.

But the home’s biggest selling point may be its many outdoor spaces. Built on a 4,987-square-foot lot, the house has multiple balconies overlooking the surrounding hills and a huge wooden deck with abundant space for outdoor entertaining. Stairs leading up to the house wind through lush greenery, with terraced gardens beside the pathway.

Asking price is $1.275 million. An open house is scheduled for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
