With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this elegant Jefferson Park Craftsman offers space and style at a price that is steep but not totally unheard of for this USC-adjacent neighborhood. (A remodeled Craftsman in the neighborhood listed at $915,000 in July sold in late August for $1.05 million.)

Hardwood floors and wood details gleam among the kitchen’s stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and subway-tile backsplash. The shared rooms on the first floor are bright and open.

An eye-catching wooden bannister and staircase lead to the second floor of the house, where the master bedroom suite holds a spacious walk in closet and glamorous master bathroom with dual vanities.

The house comes with central air conditioning and heating, as well as a one-bedroom attached guest house (not detached, as was previously written). Behind the house, there is a large, fairly bare rear yard.

Hard to believe that just 1.5 years half ago, in February 2016, this house was advertised as “TLC NEEDED!” It sold for $565,000. It traded hands again in March 2017, very shined up, for $990,000. Now, it’s listed for $1.199 million. If it sells for that, it will mean that in less than two years, the house’s value more than doubled.
