There’s quite the selection

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. Today, in honor of Valley Week, we've found five rentals over the hill within $100 of today’s price: $1,750.

↑ Good gravy, what a classy spot. This Studio City apartment near Toluca Lake is a front unit with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The unit has refinished hardwood floors and nice tile in the kitchen. It rents for $1,695.

↑ This Glendale one-bedroom is tucked into a lush Spanish-style complex. The apartment has oak floors, beamed ceilings, ceiling fans, and a dishwasher. There is on-site laundry, but the listing lacks details on parking. Rent is $1,695.

↑ This petite, 400-square-foot one-bedroom in Valley Village features new stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and lots of in-unit storage space. Situated on the top floor of the building, it rents for $1,750.

↑ Not far from the North Hollywood Arts District, this two-bedroom holds wood floors, central air conditioning, and a private balcony. It also features 1.5 bathrooms. An extra half bathroom is always a nice perk. The apartment rents for $1,800.

↑ With two bedrooms and a private patio, this Canoga Park apartment has a lot going for it. The kitchen and bathroom also have a cool retro touch, thanks to some pale pink tile. The pet-friendly apartment rents for $1,650.
