Demolition is expected to get underway this summer for a glassy new four-story building that will house eateries and offices for HBO in Culver City, reports Urbanize LA.

Set to be razed is the longtime home of the Surfas Culinary District, a restaurant supply store and tasty cafe. Surfas will open a new eatery in the forthcoming building, which is being developed by Clarion Partners and Lincoln Property Company.

The Gensler-designed building will hold 128,000 square feet of office space, with about 4,500 square feet of commercial space at the street level.

The site 8777 Washington—at the corner of Washington and National boulevards—is just across the street from the Culver City stop on the Expo Line.

The new HBO headquarters aren’t the only major project at this Culver City intersection. Just across the street, the Ivy Station mixed-user is planned atop the decommissioned parking lot that once served the Culver City Expo station.
