At Empire at Burton Way, the newest luxury apartment complex in Beverly Hills, it costs at least $5,800 to rent a one-bedroom. Renters don’t seem to have a problem with that; almost half of the building’s 23 units are already leased.
What does that rent get you? A fair amount of space, as the smallest units measure 1,075 square feet. They all come with many of the same amenities: floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, fireplaces, in-unit laundry, and walk-in closets. Wood floors, quartz counters, and stainless steel appliances also come standard.
The apartments are wired for keyless entry, and have Nest smart thermostats and security systems.
Shared amenities at the Burton Way complex include a gym, WiFi in the building’s common areas, underground parking, and a 4,000-square-foot terrace on the roof with a barbecue area and a pet-washing station.
Residents will also have access to electric vehicle charging stations on site and a “package concierge locker system,” which will safely hold packages that arrive when residents are away.
The building is located off Burton Way and Maple Drive, next to the Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills. Construction started in 2015, and leasing opened at the end of July.
