A new residential project may be on the way to North Hollywood’s burgeoning Arts District.
Plans filed with the city Tuesday call for a new five-story mixed use development with 40 apartments and ground-floor commercial space. There would also be two-level subterranean parking lot.
The project would replace a vacant 5,520-square-foot lot at 10821 West Magnolia Boulevard. Property records indicate that the parcel sold for just a little over $100,000 in 2015.
This isn’t the only project in the area set to rise in the near future. Just to the west, a five-story development with 61 units is planned for Magnolia and Lankershim Boulevard. South of that, yet another apartment project would bring 59 units of housing to the area.
Meanwhile, developers Greenland USA and Trammell Crow Company continue to plan a truly transformative project around the North Hollywood Metro station. Under the most recent proposal, the development could include up to 1,500 units of housing, along with offices and retail space.
