A major new apartment complex is ready to open its doors to residents just west of Downtown. Urbanize LA reports that developer Holland Partner Group has finished work on Sofia, a six-story development with 606 apartments located at the intersection of Sixth and Bixel Streets.
In addition to a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, the complex also includes 25,000 square feet of street-level commercial space, including a 16,500-square-foot grocery store.
How much will all those apartments cost? A leasing site for the development lists prices ranging from $1,974 (for a studio) to $4,164 (for a two-bedroom). New residents do, however, get a free month of rent.
They will also have access to amenities like a fitness center, yoga room, lounge, karaoke room, and even a hidden speakeasy.
The area around the development is especially busy lately, with multiple major projects popping up nearby. Just two blocks south, a 36-story tower is set to rise at Seventh and Bixel, while a separate 26-story high-rise is planned a block west of that project.
