A parking lot in Downtown Glendale could soon be redeveloped as a six-story hotel with 147 guest rooms.

Located at the intersection of Wilson Ave and Louise Street, the proposed project site is just two blocks off of Brand Boulevard next to the shuttered Five Star Cinema theater.

According to a planning document spotted by Urbanize LA, the hotel is being designed by architecture firm WATG in a Spanish colonial-influenced style meant to complement the aesthetic of nearby historic structures.

In addition to the hotel rooms, the project is set to include 2,900 square feet of lobby and restaurant space, along with 700 square feet of space for outdoor dining. Parking for 124 vehicles would be available in a partly subterranean garage.

Tentatively called Hotel Louise, the project will include guest amenities like a swimming pool, spa, barbecue area, conference room, breakfast patio, and kitchenettes in each room. At the southern end of the hotel, a pedestrian paseo will help connect guests with the surrounding neighborhood.
