A modest 15-unit apartment complex near Hollywood and Highland could be demolished to make way for a new seven-story mixed-use complex, says Urbanize LA.
The new building, developed by Denley Investment & Management, would bring 70 apartments—studios and one- and two-bedrooms—and 3,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space to the neighborhood. Seven of the new building’s apartments would be affordable housing.
The complex would offer balconies, a garden, a swimming pool, and a barbecue area for residents, and it would be designed by the developer’s in-house architects.

The apartment building in line for demolition, located at Yucca Street and Las Palmas Avenue, is already sandwiched between two taller properties under construction now.
Hollywood is a frenzy of projects in various stages of construction. There are three residential buildings in the works within a few blocks of this project, plus bigger ones planed along Argyle and over by Sunset and Vine.
