For decades, Inglewood has had a robust artist community, with inexpensive rents and studio rates being a major draw. This residence is definitely for the upper-crust working artist: It’s listed for $1.325 million.
The totally renovated space was the first live/work unit permitted in the neighborhood, says listing agent Anastasia Bowen.
The two-bedroom residence’s concrete floors and high ceilings give it a loft-like look. Unique features such as adorable Dutch doors and a superb garden set the house apart from other trendy live/work spaces.
The gardens are by Jack Price Design, whose founder, André Jackson, is the home’s owner. The green space includes a terraced section, a fire pit, fruit trees, and space for outdoor dining.
The loft is located just a mile from the future Rams and Chargers NFL stadium (for the artist who’s also a football fan) and will be about seven blocks from the Downtown Inglewood stop on the Crenshaw Line, expected to open in 2019.
