The former Redbury Hotel is scheduled to reopen in summer 2018 as an exclusive private club aimed at the creative class, and we’re getting a look inside via a rendering shared by the club, called h.Club LA.
An outpost for the London-based Hospital Club, h.Club LA will fittingly include a tea room. Designed by interior designer Russell Sage, the space is imagined as “a traditional English tea room infused with the delicate culture of the Japanese tea ceremony,” says an announcement from the company.
It will feature paper-backed silk wall coverings as well as some mainstays of a traditional tea room, including wicker chairs and china.
The tea room dovetails with Sage’s design vision for the entire hotel, described as “The Modern Grand Tour, inspired by those who traverse the world and share the knowledge and experience gleaned from their adventures.”

H.Club LA will be an extension of the London’s Hospital Club. Its 36 hotel-style bedrooms will be available to both club members and the public. Hotel guests will get a temporary membership to the club, and have access to all the fancy member amenities, including a rooftop restaurant, coworking space, and a pool.
