A vacant lot on Highland Park’s happening thoroughfare, York Boulevard, might finally see some action.
Eastsider LA says a two-story building with 22 apartments, underground parking, and street-level commercial space is planned for the site at 5633 East York Blvd, bringing more restaurants and cafes to the neighborhood. ELA spoke with Madison Capital Group’s CEO, who says some of the units will be affordable, and pegged the completion date as late 2018 or early 2019.
The architect is Vanos Architects. It has already requested demolition and grading permits for the site, which city records show, appears to include a neighboring restaurant.
A different developer had planned to put three condos and a small ground floor retail space on the same lot.
