The 12-story luxury project known as the Four Seasons Residences is now under construction, developer Genton Property Group announced today. A groundbreaking for the project was held in late 2015, says Urbanize LA, but construction on the 59-residence project is just getting started.

The Four Seasons Residences will include townhomes and a 12,000-square-foot penthouse that will take up the entire top floor of the development. The penthouse will have its own private pool, garden, and six-car garage.

According to previous reports, the penthouse will be for sale unfurnished but with marble or terrazzo flooring, "accordion walls of glass," and four balconies. It was listed in August 2015 for $50 million.

The complex, located at at 9000 West Third Street, is divided up into three wings—The Tower, Wetherly Wing and Almont Wing—with an average unit size of more than 2,400 square feet.

Designed by CallisonRTKL, all of the units were designed, “to deliver the privacy, security and comfort of a single-family home, but is surrounded by the luxury amenities” associated with a Four Seasons hotel and those offered by the neighborhood surrounding the project, the developer says.

Genton did not disclose pricing information, but it has been reported that the more humble townhouses and condos in the project would start at $2.5 million. Those looking for even more luxury could seek out one of the four 5,000-square-foot spaces that sit underneath the pricey penthouse. Those were expected to list for about $20 million.

Now that construction has kicked into gear, the project is set for completion in mid-2019, says the release.
