This unusual residence in Glendale is looking for another new owner. The three-bedroom home appeared on the market last year and sold in January for $969,000. Already, though, it’s back on the market and new listing photos offer a closer look at the intriguing property.

According to the new listing, the house was built by a Hollywood set designer back in 1937. That helps to explain the fanciful ski lodge style of the 1,850-square-foot home.

The home’s white and brown exterior includes a large wraparound deck on the upper level with a beamed overhang and decorative guardrail. On the lower level, the home is fronted by a long stone patio next to a rustic-looking shed with a color scheme that matches the main residence.

Interior features include hardwood floors, beamed and vaulted ceilings, a pair of fireplaces, and glass mosaic windows.

Situated on a quarter-acre lot, the house has a large back deck with multiple sitting areas and a solar heated pool. The neatly maintained grounds include several overhanging trees that complete the home’s storybook-style aesthetic.
