With its undulating blue exterior, Frame Hollywood, a 46-unit apartment complex, is a hard-to-miss addition to the southern end of Hollywood. The building is opening this week on Hudson Avenue, off Melrose and Cahuenga, and leasing is already underway, with units renting from $2,000.
Dotted with balconies and topped with a rooftop deck, the building holds a mix of studios, two- and three-bedroom units, and one-bedroom lofts, which have 19-foot-tall ceilings. The smallest loft measures 900 square feet, holds 1.5 bathrooms, and rents for $3,000 per month. The petite studio units start at 545 square feet and are priced at $2,000 a month.
That’s about the median rental price for a one-bedroom in LA. But this is a new building with gated parking and a roof deck, so that’s probably driving up the cost.
All of the units project a sleek unfussiness, with concrete floors, stainless steel appliances, and Nest thermostats.
The project was designed by DEX Studio, which has a handful of other projects in the area, including one in Culver City that is also leasing now.
