Located in Pasadena’s Hastings Ranch neighborhood, right up against the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, is this post and beam home. It is just lovely.

Some of its “continuous walls of glass” are visible from stairs that lead to the front doors. Inside, communal rooms, including the kitchen—which was recently redone by architect Barbara Bestor—are clustered together. Tall clerestory windows bring light into the space from above.

The four bedrooms are split up, with the master suite in its own remodeled wing with an ensuite bathroom with dual sinks.

The outdoor spaces include a pool and deck with room for outdoor entertaining.

Built in the early 1970s, the house measures just under 2,500 square feet. Public records indicate it last sold in 2006, for $1 million. It’s now listed for $1.899 million.
