Construction has wrapped on a five-story affordable housing development in East Hollywood. Called 5400 Hollywood, it includes 40 units of housing, a combination of one, two, and three-bedroom units.

Available to tenants with a range of incomes from 30 to 60 percent of the area median, the building will open fully leased—the developer tells us it filled up in January.

According to developer Meta Housing Corporation, the $21.6 million project, built atop 3,100 square feet of commercial space, features a number of community-oriented amenities for residents. These include a rooftop deck, children’s play area, computer room, and clubhouse.

Located just east of the Hollywood/Western Red Line station, the transit-accessible project was designed by Y & M Architects.

Just a few blocks west, Meta Housing Corporation developer recently completed Metro@Hollywood, another mixed use development with 5,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and 120 residential units for seniors.
